This little thing is nothing short of amazing. I work as a Honda Master Technician at the dealership and was a bit skeptical of all the things claimed this could do.
I’ve been searching for a way to program immobilizer keys for Honda/Acura by using my cell phone for some time now. Have seen other expensive scan tools and bluetooth dongles claiming all the capabilities of this one for at least $150-200 range so when I found this one and at the time was having a lightning deal for $44. I couldn’t pass it up. Tried for the first time the other day on a 2018 Honda Pilot and was just amazed by the things this can do. Will do almost everything the Honda HDS will do. Had the opportunity to try programming a new key on 2006 Pilot so was anxious to see if it will work. So went on to perform key program procedure and worked pretty much identically to using the Honda HDS. I can not recommend this tool enough. Also has the ability to do an all DTC scan and clear all DTCs using a quick erase function without having to go into each individual system. Still trying things out and learning everything its capable of.

OBDSTAR X300 DP Plus & X300 Pro4 Reviews

I have Obdstar x300 dp full (Yellow model) and it is working well, only with newer models needs to connect to internet, example: odometer correction to 2015- Ford F150, I just renew the yearly subscription (us$200) and keeps updating almost daily.

OBDSTAR X300 Pro4 have full car list for immo function same as DP Plus.

I don’t know if the x300 Dp Plus is substantially better than first model, the difference in price is high.
The new x300 dp plus comes with new functions like “ecu programming” and “ecu clone” (I can’t find information on what models can make with those functions), now have a new RFID adapter (P001) and they discontinued the support for the old RFID adapter, no updates.
For diagnostics it’s very limited, almost no special functions,.
For key programming and pin code retrieval is good, not all brands and models but can make many models without issues.
For odometer calibration is good, better than EZ500 (I have this tool too).
In my own experience the money invested was worth it.

The obdstar x100 pro was just an example of discontinued support, same can be said for x300m probably.
I agree it’s cheap enough to buy and you will more than make your money back, i did on my x100pro and i only used it a couple of times

Foxwell NT520 Pro Customer Real Feedback

We own several BMW’s , so having a BMW specific scan tool to give detailed info specifically for BMW codes was important for quick and accurate diagnosis instead of purchasing a generic “all makes” OBD II scanner. When I first got the E46 M3, I had the BMW specific Peake Research R5FCX3-16 which worked well for that generation of vehicle, but Peake seemed to have died off/stopped making products to support 2008+ models so I looked at other options incl BT tool, Schaben/Foxwell NT520, Carly, Carista, and a couple others which required connecting to a laptop.

Now foxwell have released new update version of nt520,it is Foxwell NT530 scanenr.
Based on reviews from various bmw forums (M3forum, bimmerforums, M3post, E90post, obdadvisor, etc) I narrowed down my choices. I use Apple/Mac & didn’t want to be tied to a computer to diagnose any issues with my vehicle plus many were only for PC/Windows computers. I wasn’t sure about how future use/support would be on models that connected to my iPhone, so I decided to further narrow my choices down to a stand alone model. I recently failed a CA smog check inspection on my E92 M3 with a sensors not ready for the O2 sensors after having the battery replaced or when I got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and they reset the TPMS sensors. All OBD II data logging was erased and I failed smog inspection. The shop generically told me to drive 200 mi, come back & hope its ready. I looked up the “BMW drive cycle” and in about 30 minutes completed hooked it up to the NT520 and the I/M Readiness showed all sensors were ready/OK. Knowing that it was ready, took it back to the smog station and passed! Saved me from aimlessly driving my car 200 mi & going back to the smog station not knowing if it would pass or not.
It auto scanned & identified my M3 & scanned all the systems with a summary stating 0 error codes found. Great diagnostic tool!

Foxwell NT650 scanner

I have F15 engine X5, Battery was discharging and needed replacement, dealer wanted to charge me a couple hundred. I bought the battery from the dealer however and ordered this product. Battery needs to be registered since I bought same specs as the original that was placed in the car when I bought it. This tool helped me get rid of the fault codes and register the battery also, something that the dealer would usually need to do. Easy to use, plug and play, Great scanning tool.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work with/you can’t update with a Mac, so I had to take it to work to use a PC. Also the coding options seem limited. I was hoping it could activate custom features like mirror folding on lock, 5 quick blinks, high beam alarm activation, angel eye brightness, etc. I haven’t found it capable of doing custom coding and activation. The manual is useless, but luckily its easy to use. But its positives outweigh the negatives!

I will advise purchasing the Mercedes functions for abrites with protag and Simon touch ESL doctor for enabled ESL NEC MCU and nothing more. Avdi cannot enable NEC ESL blocked that’s why you need ESL doctor.

Simon touch will erase china keys but you need to mod the ir reader cut a track and supply external  power to the pcb.

Those who recommend VVDI MB:
1) me abritus is one piece of sheet tool. I use this tool more then 10 years   every day this tool is more and more bad. support is useless and license is so expensive and they don’t work like should work.
now I’m using vvdi is 100 times better tool and support is good. price can’t compare.

2) Enabling ESL that doesnt exist on AVDI i use it on MB tool, brief I use MB tool to program Simon touch emultors and ESL or to enable also I do a lot of keys and get the password from key, also i work on AVDI to extract password from EIS.
3) Repair ELV NEC make keys have function RENEW and WORK 100% testing.

Those who have AVDI, VVDI MB, SimonTouch:
AVDI is very good support and really everything works from the stated, very good product.
AVDI perfect tool but price is….not real price expensive tool for pass mercedes need you 20 min to 1h wotk but very slow

VVDI MB Tool is also not a bad product, I never had issue with their support . The only negative is the use of tokens.

SimonTouch is very poorly supported, many problems arise in the work and many functions do not work because the MB clinic is still only an advertisement, they don’t sell it yet, a very raw product.

Present/Permanent/Current codes stored in a control module are used to help identify the cause of a trouble or troubles with a vehicle. These codes have occurred a specific number of times and indicate a problem that requires repair.

Pending codes are also referred to as maturing codes that indicate intermittent faults. If the fault does not occur within a certain number of drive cycles (depending on vehicle), the code clears from memory. If a fault occurs a specific number of times, the code matures into a DTC and the MIL illuminates or blinks.
History codes are also referred to as past codes that indicate intermittent DTCs that are not currently active.

To read codes from a vehicle:

5. Press function key Save to store freeze frame information. Or use the BACK key to exit.

Clear Codes
Clear Codes menu lets you to clear all current and stored DTCs from a selected control module. Also it erases all temporary ECU information, including freeze frame. So make sure that the selected system is completely checked and serviced by technicians and no vital information will be lost before clearing codes.

NOTE
● To clear codes, make sure that the ignition key is switched to ON with the engine off.
● Clear Codes does not fix the problem that caused the fault! DTCs should only be erased after correcting the condition(s) that caused them.

To clear codes:
1. Scroll with the arrow keys to highlight Clear Codes from Function Menu and press the ENTER key.

Q9: I am looking for a scanner that would let me access the onboard computer so that I am able to adjust the vehicle performance which would maximize my fuel economy. Will this model do this procedure or can you suggest a model that can do this
A9: MD808 Pro will tell which fuel injector is faulty and It also able to read fuel trim. If you want full functioning scanner, then you have to increase your budget. You can take a look at the Autel MX808

Q10: This MD808Pro would not link up to a new 2019 Toyota Tacoma. I called US support and was told that I would have to wait at least one year for the update to the device that will cover this and other new vehicles. The support person told me that I would purchase a much more expensive reader with a paid subscription to be able to interact with new vehicles. Thanks Autel for not advising this in your advertising for this product. This MD808Pro will be sitting in my cupboard collecting dust for at least one more years.
A10: Yes, that’s right. If you buy the most recent car model, then low price scanner like Autel md808 pro will not support. They need time( at least one year) to include that new car model with the scanner. All scanner brands follow that type of tactic. Because they need to write a new program for the latest car model to support the scanner

I did try it out and it did work very well. I work as a gm technician and i use the ms906ts model from autel and they both seem to read the same data. I would recommend any autel product to anyone. They have great products and great technical support. I did the current update on this unit which was simple. The newest update gave you the feature to do the updates through usb. I had to remove the mico sd card to do the updates the first time. You will need a micro sd to sd card adapter if you get a unit with the older software installed.

Autel MD808 Pro was recommended by tire shop because it’s a well made quality product capable of high speed use for sports cars. Product installed and programmed easily for use in my ’06 corvette.

This is a new launched product of Autel. My friend bought a MD802 which works very good. This one is an updated version of MD802. It has a bigger screen and memory, and seems the scanning speed is a little bit faster scanning all systems. A very good diagnostic tool.

It clears code fast and works well. It’s an all system diagnostic tool and easy to use. The 16G memory card which enables update is a plus compared to MD802. Though it’s not a bi-directional tool, we won’t get that at this price.

B). Tap “History”, the diagnostic logs marked with different color indicate the process status of the diagnostic feedback. Green/Red/Blue means the diagnostic feedback is fixed/pending/in process respectively.

How to Update Autel MaxiCheck Pro Software?

Procedures:
This function allows you to update the scan tool software through a computer.
Register the Tool
User would update the scan tool ONLY after you had registered the
tool on our website http://pro.autel.com. Then you could download
software, update online, retrieve information and get warranty service.
You can use a Mac or a Windows-based computer to download the
suitable version and proceed.

NOTE: Prior to registration, please confirm your network is working properly.
1. Visit our website http://pro.autel.com.
2. On the Sign In page, input your account ID and other information to log in, if you already have an account.
3. If you are a new member to Autel and do not have an account yet, click the Create Autel ID button on the left side.
4. Enter the required information in the input fields, read through Autel’s Terms and Conditions and tick on Agree, and then click Create Autel ID at the bottom to continue.
5. The online system will automatically send a confirmation email to the registered email address. Validate your account by clicking the link provided through the mail. A product registration screen opens.
6. Select the product model of your tool, enter the product serial number and password on the Product Registration screen, and click Submit to complete the registration procedure.
NOTE: Please use the About function to find out the Product Serial No. and Register Password.

Update Procedure
Autel frequently releases software updates that you can download. The Update feature makes it very easy to determine and get exactly what you need.
1. Install Maxi PC Suite through the included CD, or download the applications in our website: www.autel.com or our distributors’ site. You can use a Mac or a Windows-based computer to download the suitable version and proceed.
2. Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
3. Load the SD card of the scan tool to your PC.
4. Run the Maxi PC Suite. Wait for the Log In window to pop up

5. Enter your Autel ID and password and wait for the Update window to display. If you forget your password unintentionally,you may always click the [Forget Password?] to link to our website and get your password back.
6. Select the product type and serial number, click OK to continue.
7. In the Update window, select the items you want to install.Usually, you should install all available updates.

Generally, there are two ways to update MaxiCheck Pro programs:
Batch Update
Select the programs that you would update by clicking on the check boxes next to those items. Then click the Update Selected Items button on the right side of screen.

Or, click on the Select All checkbox on the right side of screen and all updatable items will be selected automatically. Then click the Update Selected Items button on the right side of screen.

Check the updating process by observing the upper left progress bar [Downloads] and upper right progress bar [Installs]. You may also find progress information in the Status column of updated items.

Anytime you could click the Pause button on the right side of screen to suspend all progresses, and the state of those suspended items would change to stopped.

To resume updating process, you may need to select those suspended items again, and then click the Update Selected Items button. The progress will resume from the break point.

When the downloading is completed, the downloaded programs will be installed automatically. The new version will replace the old version.

Single Update
Find out the desired updating item and click the Install button in the same line. With updating in progress, the Install button changes to Pause.

Check the updating process by observing the upper left progress bar [Downloads] and upper right progress bar [Installs]. You may also find progress information in the Status column of updated items.

Anytime you could click the Pause button in the line to suspend this progress, and the state of this item would change to stopped.

After running the automatic diagnostics, the unit reported on information from all the various onboard computers and identified issues that were otherwise unknown. I have had many readers and programmers over the years and this is the only one that had provided the details on the various computer. The unit even identified items that BMW has not reported to the owner. Every vehicle is a little different but so far I have found the information to be beneficial. It should be noted that with some of the features, you want to ensure you have an internet connection. Recently,some OBD360 customers feedback  that they have purchased the Xtool x100 pad2 tablet key programmer on our site. But they met a battery problem. For example, One customer left it fully charged and 1 day later, when he tried to use it and it was dead.Also he noticed that the battery drains very quickly while in use, from 100% to 70% in about 15mins. Tools required:
1pc* Static bracelet
1pc* Hot air gun  (350±10℃ Temperature setup: 350±10℃)

Precautions: Please wear the static bracelet before each operation.

Procedure 1:  Change C6 capacitor
Position: C6
Name: Chip capacitor
Chip specification: 4.7UF/10V  0603
1.Disassemble the C6 capacitor and desolder a 4.7K 0603 resistor

Procedure 2: Remove transistor
Position: Q14

Name: S8050
Chip specification:  0.1uF/50V 0402
1.Disassemble the Q14 transistor.
Procedure 3: Change C123 capacitor
Position: C123
Name: Chip capacitors
Chip specification:  0.1uF/50V 0402
1.Replace the C123 capacitor with a 3.3K%5  0402 resistor.

What You Need?
–JMD Handy Baby II Programmer
–Super Chip (S-JMD)
-IOS APP or Android APP with Bluetooth
-BMW Remote
– The Unlock line in the package


Steps:
1.Scan the Handy Baby II APP QR code to download IOS or Android client. (For PC APP, it requires to active).
Install APP.
Register a user name
Bind Handy Baby II machine with the serial number.

2.Plug the remote line to the S-JMD chip (in red color) , and another end to the Handy Baby II.

3.Pair the Bluetooth in the Handy Baby II and the Bluetooth in the mobile app.

4.Tap “JMD remote”, then “Honda “, then “CRV”, then tap “Create remote”, then choose “Wired”.

5.This is remote and unlock line.

6.This is BMW remote.

7.Connect the cable by following the wiring diagram .

8.Insert to Handy Baby II and BMW remote insert into the coil.

9.Select “Remote”.

10.Take off the BMW remote, select “Remote”, then “Remote renew”, then “BMW” and “5WK49125”.
Please use the unlock line to connect the key.
Press OK to writing.
Write successfully.
